Dedicated to offering neighborhood communities skills on how to live healthier and more productive lives. We provide training, resources and support for growing food and jobs. Our focus is on revitalizing neighborhoods where food resources are limited.
ProgramsNeighborhood B.U.G. provides programs to youth through senior citizens. They are varied, but focus on positive lifestyles. Leadership development training providing skills such as tutoring, mentoring gardening/farming and job opportunities are designed for youth, while our mature neighbors programs focus on enduring health, activity and community development.
Program courses:
ServicesGrowing New Agricultural Talent (G.N.A.T.) This provides residents with training on cutting edge agriculture technologies. Keeping innovative growing methods available to residents will ensure food security within homes and community while practicing organic, sustainable, low cost maintenance techniques.
Tasting Iconic Cuisine (T.I.C.) With the produce from the garden, Neighborhood BUG will be able to supply the café. The café will provide organic healthy options for consumers for breakfast and lunch time meals. It will also be a hosting place for meetings, high tea and weekly guest chefs to introduce healthy eating options. This is a café that will have healthy choices for all types of taste palettes with high quality produce at affordable pricing. ANT Hole Another way we give back to the community is by our stationary and mobile food stands to sell the product of the farm. Stationary stands set at community events, Eastern Market and community centers will give neighborhoods access to fresh organic produce. Mobile trucks will provide services to the areas where under served residents live such as senior living, blighted communities etc. ANT Hole will also provide souvenirs to purchase while visiting our locations. |
